Helping to make Disabled Access Day more accessible.

Started in 2015 by local disabled access charity Euan’s Guide, Disabled Access Day is an annual event with a focus on disabled access across venues throughout the UK. Fundamentally the event was created to encourage disabled people and their carers to try something new while also shining a spotlight on venues as an opportunity to showcase the services and facilities they provide. The brand and visual identity needed to be redeveloped to have standout on a national stage as well as maintaining a clear connection to the parent company, Euan’s Guide.

A beacon of accessibility

Working from the existing brand colours as a basis we developed a simple, easily identifiable logo marque and supporting brand strapline: You and Somewhere New.

The logo marque acted as a beacon to help people on the day to identify participating venues whilst broadcasting a celebratory feel. We extended the brand identity further by producing a ‘confetti’ pattern design asset which was used across print collateral, digitally and also as hand made signage using coloured card by many of the venues.

Finally, we designed a full range of collateral from banners and directional signage to t-shirts, bags, a website re skin, email newsletters, social media and presentation templates.

The Disabled Access team were then able to take final supplied brand guidelines and assets and easily create and produce additional collateral as required.
