Sort of like the Scouts. But online.

Euan’s Guide is a disabled access review website used by people to review, share and discover accessible places to visit. With the foundation of Euan’s Guide based firmly on users taking time to add their own reviews, the client wanted to make this a more exciting and rewarding experience. We were tasked with designing a suite of over 70 virtual enthusiast badges and trophies along with redesigning a customisable reviewers profile page template.

I hope you are ready for badges. Lots of badges.

Identifiable and ownable

Accessibility was foremost in our minds, both in consideration of colour contrast and designing identifiable shapes across the different categories of badges. The client was also keen to make the badges fun, colourful and interesting – no room for boring icons here.

We extended the existing brand colour palette and created a final set of badges across categories such as Explorer, Reviewer and Expert, optimising all to work across multiple viewports & sizes.

Nice, right?
